Lauren Bavin lives in Auckland New Zealand, the mother of 3 children: Cameron 16, Matthew, 14 Hannah 7, and wife of Steve. Lauren has never really paper scrapped- but has been digitally scrapbooking for nearly 7 years, but it was like she had found her passion in life when she discovered digital scrapbooking. She had been searching on the net for ways to improve her digital photos and ran across some of the digital scrapbooking sites, and she was hooked in seconds. Her style is a constantly evolving thing but generally that of a paper scrapbooker without the bulk of “real “ embellishment

She loves all styles of digital scrapbooking, but her forte is probably the recreation of realistic elements for paper style pages. Self-taught in Photoshop, she has used Paint Shop Pro and Picture It, but is in love with Photoshop!!!

In her real life (when she has one!) she loves to read – her favorite authors are Lee Child and Harlen Coben but has a very eclectic taste and will read just about anything recommended to her, and favorite TV program would probably be "24", but changes her preferences with the wind!
Lauren works full time for DSP , designing, and teaching digital scrapbooking and is honoured that this passion can be now called her career.

She also loves to entertain and does quite a bit of it – scouring her (hundreds of) cookbooks for wonderful recipes to try out. Unfortunately, she doesn’t have time to do as much of this as she used to. Lauren has traveled quite extensively, especially in her early adult years as do many New Zealanders and 2007 has been the highlight of her travel experiences as she has visited the US to meet up with her fellow DSP members not once but 3 times and cant wait to return.

Star Properties Page kit
[4 of 5 Stars]

"This kit worked so well for my layout, I especially like the streaked background paper. Color combinations are terrific for boy or girl."

Filed Memories Page Kit
[5 of 5 Stars]

"Beyond the computer paper bringing back memories, this kit is very cool and has some great basics that can be used in lots of layouts. It goes really well with Laurens "School Years" and "First Day of School" page kits as well."

Deepest Devotion
[5 of 5 Stars]

"The gold stamped frame in this kit is to die for. It is so versitile - I think it would work beautifully in a freestyle or heritage LO. The butterfly is also gorgeous. Browse lauren's other kits for more intricate realistic butterfly elements - I don't know where she comes up with these but they make me want to buy all her kits."

Time In A Bottle
[5 of 5 Stars]

"This kit has unlimited potential, but my favorite things about it are the backgrounds, which I use repeatedly; the ribbon with buckle, which has a nice neutral character that goes with so many layouts; and those black metal plaques--Lauren Bavin has such a great touch with distressed metal elements. You can't go wrong with this kit!"

Seagull Page Kit
[5 of 5 Stars]

"Look at the beautiful textured soft blues and grays in the papers in this kit...how could it not be perfect with water layouts. The decorated feather "brads" are very realistic and so much more useful in a layout than clip art would be. A kit that is both beautiful and easy to use."

Beyond the Meadow
[5 of 5 Stars]

"It was the name that drew me in - and the elements and papers that kept me. Lauren's kits have such a mix and match quality, while each is so unique. This kit has wonderful papers and textures and charming elements, from lace to enamel flowers. Lots of variety here to build some unique layouts. I don't review until I've used and I don't review if I don't like a kit... This gets a 'two thumbs up.'"
